I kept getting side-tracked by the leaves on the sketch but wanted to take a different approach. It started with the gorgeous vellum and exploded from there:
I so love this vellum but blimey it was hard to photograph, the gold shimmer was almost blinding!! I decided to really 'bling' this card up and just stick with a gold and white colour combo. I cut the corner shape from white cardstock and heat embossed the butterfly in gold. I then popped it up on foam tape for a bit of height.
I wanted a lot of gold for the sentiment as well, so chose this one for the coverage. I'm still in the learning stages of heat embossing (and as I mentioned in my previous post) it kept coming out with lots of stipples. Not sure whats going on there......but I pushed on and popped this up on foam tape as well. A few gold sequins thrown in for good measure and there you have the card that looks like you would send it to 'Goldfinger'!!!
The butterfly stamp is from Couture Creations. The sentiment stamp is from Neat and Tangled 'Across the Card' and the gold sequins are from them also. The gold triangle vellum is from My Minds Eye 'Necessities'.
With all this gold-goodness, I've decided to enter this into the challenge at Addicted to CAS #46 where their theme is:
I'm also going to sneak this into the Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge where their theme is 'Anything Goes'. This will be my fifth and final entry (they will be so sick of me!!!!)
Now off to bed I think, although I'm dying to do the Simon Says Stamp 'Stamptember' blog hop to see everyone use the new release products. Might have to leave that till tomorrow or maybe I could just look at a few.......
