Winnie and Walter - Rerun Challenge # 14 - In Bloom: Renee's Leaves

Here I am, sliding in at the last minute with an entry for a challenge. How unusual!! Why do I find I work better under pressure??

For this months Winnie and Walter - Rerun Challenge  they were looking at 'In Bloom: Renee's Leaves' which unfortunately I don't have. However, you can create a project inspired by one of the cards shown by the Design Team. The one card that jumped out to me straight away is actually by Shay:

I love how the leaves are stamped and the blue water colouring is gorgeous. I also like the use of the silver and grey for the sentiment. So with all this in mind, this is what I came up with:

I hope you can see my inspiration!!! I cut a piece of water colour CS the same size as my card front, then stamped and heat embossed the leaves from 'In Bloom: Addie's Garden' in silver. I then had a lot of fun colouring the leaves and background using my Ziggies and a water brush. Once the panel was dry I adhered it to the card front. For the sentiment I carried on the silver and singular theme (similar to Shay's card) and die-cut 'hello' from some silver CS and popped it up on foam tape. A few clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh finished if off!!

I also have three other challenges I would like to enter:

The Gossip Column with Taheerah Atchia: Precious Metals (I don't usually make silver leaves but wanted to incorporate more silver as I love it on Shay's card)

Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge (Anything Goes)

Simon Says Stamp - Monday Challenge (Use Powder - I used embossing powder)

We've made it to the end of the first holiday week and the kids haven't killed each other...... yet......I have a two hour gardening job at lunchtime today so the kids are going to spend some time with my Mum. Then Max has a friend coming over to stay the night. The sun is shining for the first time this week so hopefully we can make the most of it after I wallow around in the mud pulling weeds for a while....

Take care

Time Out Challenge # 67

Happy Thursday everyone and welcome to a new challenge at TIME OUT!! We have an extra special challenge theme for you:

Theme of Breast Cancer Awareness and/or Friendship.
Optional Technique Twist:  embossing and/or use pink

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so we thought it would be a wonderful idea to have a challenge dedicated to this and also remind us all to do our breast checks.

Our wonderful Sponsor for this challenge is CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. They are giving the winner of this challenge a $25 gift voucher to their store and also another prize consisting of products from their Calling All Sistahs Collection. Michele, the owner of CAS-ual Fridays Stamps, created this collection after having her own battle with breast cancer and donates 50% of the proceeds from each product to Breast Cancer Research.

She also organised a monthly blog hop to spread the word about how important self-breast checks are and remind us to do them. I'm extremely lucky to be part of the CAS-ual Fridays DT and take part in the hop with the rest of the team on the 17th of each month. If you would like to take part in the blog hop please email Heather North at sistahoodhop@outlook.com and there is also a Facebook Page for you to visit and join. We would love to have you hop along with us!!!

I'm also very excited that my very good friend Coni of Which Craft? is joining us at the Guest Designer for this challenge. She is the most wonderful, supportive and creative crafter I know and I really encourage you to pop over to her blog to see her amazing designs!!

For my card I really wanted to create a design that had your friend as the central, most important part of the card and surround her with empowering words:

To create this I started off by die-cutting the lines using theCAS-ual Fridays 'Tic Tac Toe Fri-Die', cutting two from white CS and one from a pink paint chip. These were all glued together and then to the card front.

I then stamped all the different phrases from the 'Calling All Sistahs' stamp set into each box using black ink. The 'girl' was die-cut using the 'Sistahs Fri-Dies' on the same pink paint chip and twice more from white CS, and glued together. I also used the heart from the 'Tic Tac Toe Fri-Dies' on some pink glitter paper and twice more from white CS, glued them together and then to the card. This gave me some height to glue on the 'Girl'. And of course to finish off I added some clear and pink sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

You have two weeks to link your project to the TIME OUT challenge and if your needing any ideas or inspiration, the rest of the Design Team and our Guest Designer Coni have some amazing projects for you on the blog. I really hope you can join us for this challenge and I can't wait to see what you created in the Gallery!

And please remember to 'check those breasts' and have included this YouTube Link to a Self Breast Exam video just incase its something you haven't done before.

Take care

Altenew Inspiration Challenge - September - Entry No. 2

It stopped raining today so the kids and I were able to get out of the house and go to the park. So nice for them to get some fresh air and exercise. Max also had Futsal (Indoor Soccer) at 5pm for 90 mins so everyone should sleep well tonight!!

Last night I was trying to finish off my second card for the Altenew Inspiration Challenge and had the stamps for my third idea sitting beside me. My eyes kept being drawn to the stamps and I suddenly had a different idea for them that had to be done straight away.

I wanted to try and use some of my older Altenew stamps and a technique that I don't do very often. Its a bit 'different' but I love how it turned out:

Told you it was different!!! I've seen a few different blog posts lately talking about 'spotlight colouring' and even though I love the technique, I never think to do it. I wanted to try and do it a slightly differently though....

I started off by cutting three strips of white CS that hung off each side of the card front. I used washi tape to hold the card base down and then the ends of each strip once it was in place. This was the hard part, I had to stamp the giraffe down really hard so it would stamp on the card base AND on the strip. Luckily there was only once that it didn't quite work and I was able to touch it up with a black pen.

All I had to do then was colour the strips, stamp on the sentiment and pop then up on foam tape. And I also added some co-ordinating sequins. The stamp set is from Altenew 'Geometric Menagerie' and the sequins from Neat and Tangled.

Hopefully I can get back to my second idea before the end of the week. Phoebe has her friend Ella staying tonight and Max has his friend Thomas coming over tomorrow so might get a little bit of time to myself. I'm taking them all to the SPCA to give the cats and kittens some cuddles which will be a wonderful way to spend the afternoon.

Altenew Inspiration Challenge - September

Its Monday, the first week of a two school holiday and its raining.....and supposed to rain till Friday. Eeeekkkk!! Being in a small town (and with not much money to spare) the options for entertaining children is few and far between. Luckily they are happy at this stage to watch a movie or two and practice some bottle flipping and ball skills in the lounge (with me stamping and colouring in the background....) but come Friday it could be a different kettle of fish!!

Yesterday (yes, the rain started at the weekend.....ugh) I was able to finally think of designs for this months Altenew Inspiration Challenge. These aren't colours I would usually use together so it stumped me a bit but now have three different ideas I will try to whip up before the end of the week.

This first idea came to mind because of all the wonderful coffee cards that I've seen lately (I haven't made my Coffee Blog Hop card yet but don't count me out....) and I still hadn't used this stamp set:

I love anything 'retro' inspired and can just imagine these colours as part of some funky tea set. It was wonderful to colour while watching Alvin and the Chipmunks - Road Trip and love the sketchiness of these images.

To create the table I just cut a strip of wood veneer paper and adhered along the bottom of the card front. The cups and coffee pot were all stamped in black on some white CS, coloured with my Faber Castell pencils and then fussy cut out. I popped them on the table with some foam tape, stamped the sentiment and added some co-ordinating sequins.  Its a simple scene but love all that white behind the images, makes them the star!!

The stamps are all from Altenew 'Coffee Love', the wood veneer paper is from Papervine and the sequins from Neat and Tangled.

I'm part way thru my second card and just changed my mind for the third, so fingers crossed I can get them made tonight or tomorrow. At least I can work into the night without having to worry about waking up early for school. Bliss!

Take care

Just Add Ink Challenge # 330

Hi everybody!! Its Friday again and not only does that mean the end of the week (and the start of the school holidays for kids in New Zealand) but it also means its a new challenge theme at Just Add Ink!! We have a sketch for you this week, which is always a great help with regards to a card design.

I love anything with a big circle involved and I always love to see what people put on their cards with regards to the other shapes in the sketch. Luckily I had been playing around with some new stamp images which got my imagination going for my card design:

I haven't used my Zig Real Color Markers for a while. I was watching a video by Kristina Werner in bed the other night and she was using them beautifully, so she totally inspired me to get them out!!

To start off I die-cut the circle from water colour CS. To create the stripes I rubbed my yellow Ziggie on a plate and mixed a little water with it using a wide brush. I then just carefully painted the stripes across, not worrying too much if they weren't exactly the same and a little wonky.

While that dried I stamped and heat embossed the bear image in white on some water colour CS and painted using my Ziggies and a water brush. I'm trying to work out how to do shading when I water colour, its taking a long time to get it right. Once this was dry I fussy cut it out.

I die-cut the squares from some black CS, cut it down to size and glued to the circle. I popped the bear up on foam tape and also added it to the back of the circle. The sentiment was stamped in black on a strip of white CS and glued in place, along with some sequins for a bit of sparkle.

The circle die is from Couture Creations. The bear image and sentiment are from My Favourite Things 'Beary Special Birthday', as well as the 'Retro Squares' die.The sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh.

You have until Wednesday 28th September to link your projects to the Just Add Ink challenge and to see what the rest of the Design Team have created for you, pop over to the blog for some inspiration. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with in the Gallery!!

Take care

My Favourite Things - 2016 Card Design Superstar Contest (Entry No. 3)

As usual I'm linking up my entry at the last minute. I was up quite late colouring this one last night in bed, so looking forward to getting this on my blog and hitting the hay!!

Its been really exciting thinking up designs for this My Favourite Things - 2016 Card Design Superstar Contest.  I remember seeing it last year and marveling at all the entries. I didn't own any MFT stamps then, so its very cool to be able to throw my hat into the ring. I certainly don't expect to get anywhere but have my fingers crossed for my friends who are MFT card making stars in my eyes!!

This card design came to me while I was on my hands in knees in a muddy garden the other day. Maybe it involves pigs because I was in mud. I just wish I had thought of it last week as it took forever to colour it all in last night:

I realised that if you look at this out the corner of your eye, it kind of looks like a block of chocolate!!

So, for this crazy idea I stamped the fence/grass image in black on white CS 12x and coloured using my Faber Castell pencils. I also did the same with the two piggies. These were all then fussy cut out and black marker added around the edges.

To keep the fence close together I cut off the edge pieces so they were flat. Foam tape was added to them all and I stuck them to the card front, cutting off the overhanging pieces. The piggies were glued into place and the sentiment stamped on white CS and put on foam tape as well. I glued a flower sequin to the girl piggie along with some others for a bit of shine.

I'm so happy with how it turned out, it took forever but was so worth it!!!!

The fence/grass, pig and sentiment stamps are all from My Favourite Things 'Hog Heaven', and the sequins are from Neat and Tangled.

This was my final entry so fingers crossed someone likes it. I'm off to bed now to read with Max and probably catch up on my Instagram. One more day to go and its the school holidays for two weeks. Can't wait for sleep-ins and no rushing around, it will be heaven!!!

Take care

My Favourite Things - 2016 Card Design Superstar Contest (Entry No. 2)

Hi there everybody, hope your all having a good week. Its been very sunny days and chilly nights here which has been perfect for all my gardening work and then snuggling up in bed with the electric blanket at night. I haven't had much time for creating of late and spend a lot of time daydreaming of card designs while pulling out weeds.

I've been mulling over different designs for the My Favourite Things - 2016 Card Design Superstar Contest. Have you seen all the cards already entered?? My goodness they are simply amazing and I don't stand a chance in hell of winning but excited to finally have some MFT stamps to be able to enter!!

I haven't been water colouring much of late and after watching a few card making videos on YouTube I was inspired to try colouring my new stamps with paint instead of pencils:

I think this little piggie is such a cutie and couldn't wait to paint her with a soft pink!

I started off by die-cutting the large speech bubble (from MFT Die-namics) from some water colour CS. I then stamped and heat embossed the fence in white. Out came my Zig Real Color Markers and a water brush, and I coloured in the whole piece. To colour the sky I rubbed the blue Zig marker on a plate, mixed in a little water with a brush and then painted the CS. To give the sky a bit of interest I sprinkled some water over it and removed it with a tissue.

The piggie was also white heat embossed on water colour CS but for her I used Distress Ink 'Worn Lipstick' with a water brush, as I only wanted the bright pink for the heart. Once this was dry I fussy cut it out and popped it up on foam tape in front of the fence. The speech bubble was put on foam tape as well on the card front, the sentiment was stamped in black and a few sequins added for shine.

The pig, fence/grass and sentiment stamps are from My Favourite Things 'Hog Heaven' and the sequins from Neat and Tangled.

I have one more entry for this contest, so will get that on my blog before collapsing into bed. I was spreading lots of pea straw today which is quite hard work in such a big garden. I had a shower before and when I picked up my clothes there was a pile of pea straw all over the floor. I also found half a dozen twigs in my hair. I don't have a fancy life but its pretty good!!

Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge # 212

Happy Wednesday everyone and welcome to a new week at Addicted to Stamps and More! This week we have the very popular theme:

This theme requires you to create a project where you have added colour to it in someway yourself i.e. water colouring, copics, crayons etc. This is always a fun challenge as the Gallery gets filled with amazing works of art!!

Our Sponsor this week is Happy Little Stampers and they are giving a $15 gift voucher to the winner. Talk about lucky!!!

For my card this week I went crazy with colouring, to the point where there is no white showing on my card (very rare for me I know!!!):

I love this cat image so much, probably because I can relate to his body shape and gluttony......

I started off by stamping the birds, cat, bowl and cat food tin on some white CS and coloured them with my pencils. They were then fussy cut out and put to the side. I then die-cut two rows of grass from some Simon Says Stamp green CS. After working out where the grass would sit, I used my mini-blending tool and Distress Ink 'Salty Ocean' to create the sky. I don't own any green Distress Ink so used my Waffle Flower 'Chirp Chirp' ink pad, these inks blend beautifully!!

I adhered the grass to the card and popped the birdies amongst it. I then put the cat on some foam tape and glued the bowl and tin beside him. All that was left to do was stamp the sentiment in black and it was finished!!

The grass die is from My Favourite Things, as well as the cat, bowl, tin and sentiment from 'Cool Cats'. The bird nearest the cat is from Die-Versions 'Cats Meow' and the other bird from Neat and Tangled 'Kitty's Favourite Things'.

You have until next Wednesday September 28th to link your projects to the Addicted to Stamps and More challenge and if you need any help with inspiration or ideas pop over to the blog to see what the rest of the Design Team have created for you. Looking forward to seeing what you've created in the Gallery!!

Take care

Calling all Sistah's - September Blog Hop

Wow, I can't believe we are in the middle of September already, the year is flying by. However, its also the 17th of the month which means its time for the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps 'Calling All Sistahs' Blog Hop!!

This blog hop was put together by Michele (the owner of CAS-ual Fridays Stamps) to remind us all to do our breast checks. Even though time is flying by so fast at the moment, you still need to take the time to do this simple check as early detection can make a huge difference!! As I've mentioned in previous posts I never used to do breast checks until I was involved with this and didn't know what to do. I found this video on YouTube which is very informative and easy to follow.

As this is a blog hop, you should have arrived here from the blog A Creative Touch where the talented and lovely Nora will have inspired you with her project I'm sure. If you've lost your way and would like to start at the beginning, pop over to the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog to see the full blog hop list and and read about some prizes!!!

The theme for this months blog hop is 'Girl Power' so I kept to the pink colours but added some fighting words:

I love an ombre effect and this one was very quick and easy to put together. I grabbed some inks from Mama Elephant and Altenew and stamped the 'Girl' (from Calling All Sistahs) in two lines using each ink colour. For the sentiment I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment (also from Calling All Sistahs) in white on a strip of vellum and wrapped around the card front. And for a bit more shine I glued on some sequins from Neat and Tangled.

If you haven't seen the Calling All Sistahs Collection and would like to purchase some of the products, please use my special 'Girl Friday' code to save yourself a few dollars. Also 50% of each sale of these products are donated to Breast Cancer research and awareness programmes, so you not only get new craft goodies but are helping to 'fight the fight' at the same time!!!

I'm also going to link this card to two challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge (Clean and Simple)

Stamplorations - September CAS Challenge

Your next stop on the hop is the amazing and fabulous Vicki of All I Do is Stamp and I know she will have a stunning card to share with you. Thank you so much for hopping along and I hope at the end you will spend a few minutes doing your breast check, just a few minutes could save your life.

Time Out Challenge # 66

Hi everyone and welcome to a new challenge theme at TIME OUT! We have a fabulous photo to inspire you:

                                               HOME SWEET HOME

Isn't this an amazing photo??!! I don't know how this was done but love the grey with the shot of Autumn colour in the middle, so clever!! You can be inspired by any part of this photo, for example the colours, the window, the bricks....its all up to you!!

We are very lucky to have Stamplorations as the Sponsor for this challenge and they are giving the winner a $10 Gift Voucher. We are also doing two random draws where the winners will receive a Stamplorations stamp set each. How cool is that!!!!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Claire from Life on the Scrapheap. She makes incredible CAS designs and does amazing things with colour, especially against a white background. You really must pop over and take a look!!

I had one of those 'a-ha' moments when I first looked at this photo and knew what I was going to do straight away:

I started off by cutting a piece of grey CS the same size as my card front. I then grabbed some grey ink and stamped the leaves from Stamplorations 'Trendy Leaves 2' all over it. To create the window I used a tag die from CAS-ual Fridays 'Tag Buddies Fri-Dies'. I put the grey panel on the card front and gently drew with a pencil around the window, so I could see where it would sit. I was then able to stamp the same leaves again on the card front but this time using 'Velvet' and 'Mango Smoothie' from Altenew.

I rubbed out the pencil and popped the grey panel up on lots of foam tape. I then stamped the sentiment (from Altenew 'Beautiful Day') on a strip of white CS and put this on foam tape as well. And of course I had to finish off with some gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh as they go so well with fall colours.

I'm going to link this to the Simon Says Stamp - Work It Wednesday - August Challenge where their theme is 'Stamp It'.

And will also link to the Simply Create Too Challenge # 117 where their theme is 'Fall Colours'.

You have two weeks to link your projects to the TIME OUT  challenge. The rest of the Design Team and our Guest Designer Claire have created some cards for you on the blog to help inspire you. I can't wait to see what you come up with in the Gallery!!

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps - Girl Friday - September

Hi everyone and welcome to my Girl Friday post at CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.

Spring has sprung in New Zealand, there are lots of blossoms coming out and my peonies are beginning to sprout from under the ground. Its such a fabulous time of the year and can't wait for all the flowers to arrive!!

With 'flowers' in mind I decided to create a floral explosion for my card, cramming as many flowers as I could on my card front:

I'm hoping that in a couple of months my garden will look much like this card!!!

I started off by stamping all the flowers and leaves from the 'Pretty Posies'
stamp set on to some white CS. I made myself comfortable in bed with my laptop and coloured away with my pencils while watching a horror movie (best way to colour!!). The next morning I got up and cut all the flowers out using the matching 'Posies Fri-Dies'. After spending a bit of time working out their placement, I then attached double-sided tape and foam tape to all the flowers and created my 'floral heap'.

I wanted the sentiment to be very simple (and never have enough birthday cards) so simply stamped the sentiment from the 'Bold Wishes' stamp set in black on white CS and cut it out. This was adhered over the flowers along with some gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I love this rainbow floral design and hope I've inspired you as well. If your wanting to purchase this stamp set or any other products from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps don't forget to use my special 'Girl Friday' code to save yourself a few dollars!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and look forward to seeing you next month with my next Girl Friday card. Enjoy the rest of your week!!

Take care

Waffle Flower Challenge - September

Hi everyone and welcome to my inspiration post for this months Waffle Flower Challenge.

This is the challenge photo, I just love all those pastel colours, especially mixed in with a little gold. I must try and make something like this for Christmas for our tree and room decorations, better start soon as I can imagine all those circles could take a while to cut out......

As you can tell it was the circle banner that caught my eye and I tried to replicate one on my card. Unfortunately it was a complete and utter disaster. However it gave me another idea but this time with some balloons:

To start off I stamped the solid balloon from 'Balloon Messages' using Waffle Flower Inks - 'You Said What?', 'Safe Choice' and 'Coffee Loves Milk'. To create the aqua colour I stamped the balloon twice first using 'Daydreaming' and then 'New Fish in Pond' straight on top. This is the first time I've ever thought to mix two inks together, must remember it for when I don't have that colour again!!

I then spent quite a long time fussy cutting all the balloons out and cutting off the part where the balloon is tied. After working out how I wanted them on my card front, I popped them all up on foam tape. To add a touch of gold I die-cut the 'Celebrate' from gold CS and also twice more from white CS. These were all glued together and then to the card front. I also heat embossed the rest of the sentiment in gold (from the 'Congrats' stamp set) and adhered it along with some gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I'm going to link this to the Simon Says Stamp - Work It Wednesday Challenge where their theme is 'Stamp It'.

Will also link to the Taylored Expressions - Share the Joy Challenge # 52 where their theme is:

I'm sad to say that this will be my last post for the Waffle Flower Challenge. My Challenge DT term has come to an end (can't believe a year has gone by so quickly!!) so its time to say goodbye. I want to thank Nina and Tessa for taking a chance on me, supporting me and being so lovely to work with. I hope I did you proud! I also want to thank the rest of my Design Team teammates who are such wonderful, creative women. I'll still be rocking my Waffle Flower products and hope to get my hands on some of those gorgeous new release stamps/dies soon!!

Take care

Honey I Shrunk the Kit - September

I'm so excited, its time for another 'Honey I Shrunk the Kit' and this time our kit came from Sarah P!!

My friend Hazel of Hazel's Paper Designs organised this kit idea just over a year ago with Sarah P, Sandie and Sarah G. Every two months one of us fills a normal sized envelope with craft goodies (the same for everyone) and mails them to us. We then choose a day to share what we have all made. Its so much fun to see how different our designs are even though we have the same products!!

Sarah sent us the most amazing kit full of the cutest monster images, die-cuts, googly eyes, papers and enamel dots. Here's a photo:

The kit included stamped images from Lawn Fawn 'Monster Mash' and Clearly Besotted 'Eye on You', 'Blast Off' and 'Out of this World'. There were two die-cuts from Pretty Pink Posh 'Peek-a-boo' and 3-square window stitched frame die. The enamel dots, papers and twine are all from Doodlebug and googly eyes from Sarah's stash. I've only recently started making cards with cute characters so couldn't wait to play with these!!

And just to warn you, this is quite a long post, so please bear with me!!!

My first card used three of the images that were die-cut, along with the Pretty Pink Posh frame and Doodlebug paper. I used my Pretty Pink Posh 'Waffle Stitch-Edged Frame die' to cut the green paper and create the outside edge shape. This was adhered straight to the card front. I popped the frame up on foam tape and after colouring the aliens, I put them on foam tape too. I glued on the googly eyes, added the sentiment and some clear sequins also from Pretty Pink Posh.

I'm going to link this card to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge # 17

For my second card I got all spooky:

I managed to find this dark, smoky paper amongst my piles of 6x6 pads and adhered it to my card front. I coloured the two ghost images green with pencils and then fussy cut out. I glued the peek-a-boo die in place and then put the larger ghost inside, along with the fussy cut sentiment. The 'halloween' sentiment was popped up on foam tape and glued the little ghost to it. And of course I had to add those googly eyes!!

Will enter this card to the Simon Says Stamp - Monday Challenge where the theme is 'Stamp it'.

For my third card, I coloured the images in with Gansai Tambi Watercolour paint, as Sarah had stamped them on water colour CS. Once dry, I fussy cut them out and went around the edges with black pen. I die-cut the paper using the same Pretty Pink Posh frame die and adhered to the card front. The images were all popped up on foam tape, along with the sentiment. I then glued on the googly eyes and enamel dots.

I'm going to enter this card in the Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge where their theme is 'Stamp It'.

For my fourth card I coloured the images using my Zig Markers and brush with water. Once dry I fussy cut them out. I adhered the frame (left over from the previous card) and then used two star stamps from CAS-ual Fridays 'Snowflake Splendor' stamp set and stamped a few yellow stars. I wanted some type of sparkle so mixed a little Nuvo Mousse with water in a spray bottle and sprayed the card front. I couldn't capture the look with my camera but the shimmer is amazing!!

I die-cut the sentiment using a Waffle Flower die (from 'Flower Circles' die set). I coloured it using a mini-blending tool and 'Mustard Seed' Distress Ink.
I popped the sentiment circle on foam tape along with the coloured images.

I'm going to link this one to the Simon Says Stamp - Work It Wednesday Challenge where their theme is 'Stamp It'.

This is my fifth and final card (whew!) and also my favourite!! I used my mini-blending tool and Distress Inks 'Salty Ocean' and 'Chipped Sapphire' to create the background. I then sprinkled it with lots of water and blotted with tissues to make it look like stars. This is my very first 'space' background and its not too bad.

The images were coloured with pencils and fussy cut. I popped the moon, alien and present on foam tape. I cut out the sentiment and put this on foam tape as well, along with the space craft. I then added a few clear sequins (from Pretty Pink Posh) to add some twinkle.

I'm going to add this one to the Simon Says Stamp - Monday Challenge where their theme is 'Stamp It'.

Wow, if you made it to this point I applaud you!! I could have made at least another two cards with what I had left over but didn't want to make you go to sleep reading this (or maybe I already have.......wake up!!!!).

Now the fun part begins as I go to visit the other 'Honey' girls blogs and see what they came up with. I hope you too will visit Sandie,  Sarah P, Sarah G and Hazel  and see their amazing creations!!

I'll stop talking now. Thank you so much for coming by!!!!

Take care
Shona
